Does MetLife offer flood insurance, and if so, what options are available?
How do I obtain additional coverage on my three computers?
Do you have a question?
We'd like to hear from you!
[A] All home insurance policies exclude flooding, which is one of the most common natural disasters. That's why MetLife Auto & Home is proud to offer our customers flood insurance in cooperation with the U.S. government's National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). National Flood Services (NFS) handles all loss-reporting and claim-handling questions. Customers can call for toll-free assistance at 1-877-638-0022. Why should you consider flood insurance? Even just a few inches of water can do significant damage, ruining walls, flooring and even appliances, like a washer, water heater and furnace. Call your agent or representative, or visit metlifeflood.com for more information.
If you have questions about flood insurance available from MetLife Auto & Home, please call 1-877-638-0022.
[A] Your MetLife Auto & Home renters, condo or homeowners policy typically allows up to $5,000 for loss of computer equipment. Is that enough for you? Figure out how much coverage you need by adding up the costs of all three of your computers, plus related items such as software, printers and external hard drives. If you like, you may purchase more coverage with our optional Home Computer Endorsement, which provides up to $15,000 in coverage. It also lowers your deductible for computer-related losses to just $50. (Your home insurance likely has a deductible of $250 to $1,000 or higher.) And it even provides useful additions, including coverage if you accidentally "clean" the keyboard with your morning latte.
